Turbo service kits :-
For bearings and service kits for turbochargers. What you will probably find is you'll only be able to buy a service kit for your unit. These usually contain new circlips, washers, hydrodynamic journal bearings, 360° thrust bearing, oil seals and bolts.
*** When you dismantle a knackered turbocharger MARK the SHAFT and the COMPRESSOR with a small hacksaw blade together so that when you fit it all back together you can line up the compressor line with the shaft line and it should be relatively balanced. ***
Turbochargers, as you know by now, run at incredibly high speeds and the compressor and turbine need to be balanced on the shaft. The firms below will do this for you but it's costly and involves the units being sent away. For your uses it's not worth doing this as you'll invalidate any guarantee once you blow flames down it anyway! But for maximum fun, and minimum danger you need to get it pretty well balanced..
